hi doc, my nephew is 14yrs old, has been suffering from fever nearly a week, with complain from throat infection too. he had been tested negative for malaria, typhoid, etc. he has been having a temp of 103 deg cel for last 3 days. We have treated him for viral fever and common fever, but the temp is still persistent. there is not much shivering either. please tell us the possibility of the type of fever he might be having. Or what is possibly the next best step recommended.
