Suggest Treatment For Persistent Dizziness

I don t really know how to explain this crazy dizziness that I m going through. it all started during my visit to Germany when hi started noticing some strange as if I want to fall, but my eye was not spinning at all but I feel so weak. I was diagnosed of typhoid and Malaria and was place on cipronis 500. is been 6 days now and can see the dizziness not as bad as in the beginning. but my worries is that how do I no if this dizziness is cost by the typhoid or is there anything that can course this dizziness. I m worried about this dizziness of a thing because as I speak to you the weakness is gone but I m still having the dizziness but not as bad before taking antibiotics.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

There are several possibilities.
Heart rhythm and function abnormalities would also lead to the insufficient blood supply to the brain and other organs so would also justify those symptoms.
Another possibilities would be metabolic alterations, like diabetes, altered kidney or liver function, electrolyte abnormalities. Hormonal causes like thyroid dysfunction or nutritional ones like vitamin B12 deficiencies must be considered as well.
If the symptoms have appeared only very recently it might be a simple transitory viral infection which is generally transitory and need only rest and hydration.
The list can go on for long, as I said those symptoms can be found in numerous conditions, only listed some of the most common ones.
So I would start the evaluation with some routine cheap tests to screen for anemia, infections and metabolic issues like complete blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, glucose, liver and kidney function, electrolyte panel, thyroid function, vitamin B12 levels, EKG.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
