Suggest Treatment For Palpitations While On AKT Treatment

My aunt was diognized with Pott s Spine after MRI, X-Ray, Bone scan, PET CT. She is under treatment. For first two months AKT 4,Ri-cin 150, Benodon - 40,half tablet is given, second 2 months AKT3 Ri-cin 150, Benodon - 40,half tablet is given. Since 20 months she has high palpitation and became very week. All the tests related to heart like ECG, 2D echo, Holter are done. Cardiologist ruled out of heart problem. Is this the side effects of medication which she is taking.

Hello,

Some antitubercular drugs (fluoroquinolones, bedaquiline) may cause qt prolongation and arrhythmia. Tuberculosis itself may can pericarditis or myocarditis or conduction defects etc.

Also, check other possibilities like hyperthyroidism or anemia or heart failure or panic attacks etc.

Please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
