Suggest Treatment For Pain On Right Side Of Ribs Radiating To Shoulder

Hello! Diagnosed with costocondritis. I have severe pain on my right side top ribs area. This pain started shortly after I had tendonitis in my writs and then one day my shoulder dropped down. There was no pain when my shoulder dropped but you could visually see it was very low. It went back up after a few days and then the pain began in my chest area. This pain has been on going for more than a year now. I have had cortizone injections that have helped but I still have a constant nagging pain. This pain also radiates to my right shoulder and I also have trouble with my left shoulder as well. Needless to say I cannot lay on either shoulder.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
The two possibilities are costochondritis or tendon problems.
As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopaedic and get evaluated.
An MRI shoulder is required for further assessment.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
