Suggest Treatment For Numbness In Skin Of Left Thigh And Discomfort In Calf

The skin on my left thigh has been numb for years. There has been no trauma to this area. I m now experiencing burning in that area at times when walking. Also, the bottom of my left foot will go numb to the point of sever pain after walking for a short while. There is also some discomfort in my left calf during the numbness in my foot.

Hello,

I have seen the details given. Based on that information it appears to part of peripheral neuropathy. Please check your blood glucose levels. Or else if you already have diabetes, please inform the current fasting, after food glucose levels and HbA1c%. Also, check your lipid profile. Most often in uncontrolled diabetes peripheral neuropathy develops where symptoms like numbness, tingling, burning sensation and /or sudden irritation are observed.

You will also have to check your Vitamin B12 levels. You may initially start taking Vitamin B12 in the form of Mythlcobalamine 500 mcg a day, along with Tablet Pregabalin 75 mg. These drugs will invariably offer relief from the above mentioned symptoms. However, a complete blood check up as mentioned earlier is required. So please do those investigations and come back or consult your physician.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
