Suggest Treatment For Nasal Congestion Other Than Antibiotics

7 month old baby boy (20lbs) with nasal conjestion X 4 days. Nose runs at times..green and yellow mucous today..was previously clear. Mild cough. No fever. Viral cold? Sinus? What treatment is best for these symptoms. Dont want to use antibiotic if not necessary.

hi i am very happy to hear that you are well informed about unnecessary usage of antibiotics. I don't think antibiotics are going to help in your case. You can use saline nasal drops every 4 to 6 hourly if there is nasal block 1 drop in each nostril. Apart from this for cold symptoms you can use mild anti allergic medications as suggested by your pediatrician.
