Suggest Treatment For Low Amniotic Fluid Levels In Pregnancy

Hello Doctor, We are in tension and my wife has low AF. She is in her 23+ weeks of pregnancy. We have one child and in the earlier pregnancy we also had low AF but with the help of drips of Amniotic Fluid we were able to carry the previous pregnancy from 7th month to 9th month. Now in the second pregnancy AF decreases again at 6th month of pregnancy. We are again on drip of Amniotic fluid. I know no medical theropy will increase the AF level. Any help will be appriciable. Waiting for the answer from all experts.

Hi, I understand your concern..
As you said there is no definite treatment for low AFI. Amnio infusion along with adequate rest in left lateral position, High protein diet like egg white, pulsus etc and drinking plenty of oral fluids incluing juices and glucose will help to increase AFI.. Keep a Check on the babies movements.. Fetal growth should be assessed.. By 8th month baby should be 2 kg. No active leaking with good wt gain and adequate movements are good indicators to continue your pregnancy till term.. Hope i have answered your queries.. good day.
