Hi, I am Amit from Panipat. i am 35 yrs old suffering from loss of smell. I have undergone two surgeries of nasal polyps as suggested by the doctors here. But found no solution for this problem. Moreover when I take Methyle Prednisolone tablet I get the power to smell. is this the right medicine to get rid of this problem? If not, please suggest other options.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
methyl prednisolonr (steroids )would have a temporary effect of shrinking the polyps and improving smell but unfortunately oral steroids cannot be taken long term on account of the side effects...however you could be on a steroid nasal spray on a regular basis which could give you relief
