Suggest Treatment For Laryngitis

I had sinus surgery 5 weeks ago to widen the passages above my nose that were causing mega infections. I have been doing all the follow up that the surgeon has recommended, but I am frustrated with laryngitis that doesn t seem to improve. I have been a singer most of my life and have gone back to preparing to do chorale concerts in May, and my voice is inconsistent, to say the least. Do I need to rest my voice, or see an otolaryngologist to determine if I have damage to my vocal chords?

Hello,
There should not be problem with the vocal cords and it could be because of the infected mucus which trickles down the throat and causes irritation .
Do you use nasal sprays , if yes then you have to bed forwards and then spray inside the nose.
The infected mucus in throat would cause the coughing ,pain in throat etc problems.
In doubt do reply.
