Suggest Treatment For Itchy Scalp

aloha, I have a friend who is 45 years old and is a female. she lives in the Philippines and for the last several months has experienced itchy scalp and also her face becomes itchy I noticed her forehead and sinus area have become red and noticeably irritated. she has gone to 4 dermatologist in her country and has changed shampoos and soaps and was given medication I believe a cortisone ointment however the condition still persist, she tells me the doctors are amazed because the medications are not removing the itchy and irritation to her scalp and face I know its really humid and hot over there and I asked if she changed her hairstylist during the last several months as the color product might have been changed. what do you feel may have not been taken into consideration to help her, I know the last time she went to the doctor she was also given a pill to take not sure if it was for yeast or the name of the pill but I can find out. thanks for your best advice as its obvious she is becoming more uncomfortable from the condition also she is trying to find out what types of food she can eat to help stop with the itchy face and scalp thank you

Hello,

It may be due to fungal infection or dandruff. For that you may apply ointment containing clotrimazole locally. Maintain proper hygiene. Wash your hair regularly. Avoid harsh cosmetic products. Avoid sweating.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
