Suggest Treatment For Itchiness All Over The Body

For two days I ve been itchy from head to toe. I ve taken benedryl with minimal relief. I thought it might be an allergic reaction but I have not had anything new introduced to my body- food, environment. I m worried it might be the beginning of shingles

My Dear

Welcome to Healthcaremagic!
I have noted your details and related concerns. My view is that:

1 Your problem seems to be closest to Urticaria, a condition with similar picture and without any obvious reason

2 The condition responds well to Antl allergic medication like Cetirizine 10 mg or more per day up to 30 mg a day

3 In the meantime, application of calamine lotion is likely to relieve the itch

4 Some patients are able to recall an incriminating substance or activity while others fail to do so despite efforts. You are advised to explore and avoid the offending agent if you are able to zero in on any such substance

5 Most probably, the condition will fade away though it might show some ups and downs before subsiding completely

Best wishes
