Suggest Treatment For Irritation On Labia Minora

I took a shower and the inside of my labia minor seemed irritated to warm water, soap and touch by hand. It seems to be a dark pink/reddish color (which is normal), but it feels and looks like the skin is irritated with just a few. I shave my labia major (as well as all areas surrounding), and between my buttocks, and this is when I noticed it once before. It does not hurt to urinate, nor do I have any type of abnormal discharge.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptoms can be related to razor rash.
I recommend using a mild steroid cream such as Calamine lotion.
Cool bath can also help in relieving the symptoms.
You can also take an anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards!
