Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Intermittent alternate nostril blockage may be due to nasal cycle or polyps or allergy or sinusitis etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Levocetirizine and Montelukast once a day at night for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine the nasal cavity and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
