Suggest Treatment For Infected Bartholin Cyst

Less than two weeks ago I had a bartholin cyst that my gynecologist drained. He gave me doxycycline and he took cultures. The cultures came back clear of any issues. Over the last few days, I have developed another cyst, only now it is higher up beside my clitoris. I am not sure what to do or what is causing this. Right now it is more irritating than painful, but it does hurt when I wipe and when sit with my legs together.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Recurrent Bartholin's cyst is most probably caused due to the following possibilities:

+Excess flap of skin causing obstruction of the duct, resulting in accumulation of fluid and this formation of the cyst

+Sexually transmitted infections

+Other simpler infections

+Poor hygiene leading to the accumulation of bacteria (e.g. E . coli)

Please consult your doctor for a more elaborate evaluation into the cause.

Best wishes.
