Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism

SIR I WAS HAVING HYPOTHYROIDISM MU DOCTOR SUGEESTED TRYPTOMER 10 MG I WILL VERY SLEEPY AND DULL ALWAYS AND FEEL A WEIGHT GAIN I AM NOT TAKING MEDICINCE FOR HYPO SINCE MY RESULTS SHOWED NORMAL FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS WITHOUT ELTROXIN TABLET SO MY DOCTOR STOPPED IT AND HAD GIVEN ME TRYPTOMER

Thank you for the query at HCM

Weight gain and excessive sleepiness can be a side effect of tryptomer. It could also be due to decreased thyroid hormone levels.
I recommend that you get the thyroid function test done since it has been 6 months since you stopped taking Eltroxin.
If Thyroid function test comes back normal, please follow up with your treating physician to see stopping tryptomer is right for you.
