Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had normal blood pressure all my life and recently it has spiked up to 175 or higher. My MD told me to monitor it for a week and I have. Something has made me feel so nauseated I ended up in ER. They did a couple tests, a CT scan with iodine, blood and urine tests and found nothing. This has been going on since last week and I don t know what to do. My legs are achy from the knees on down too. I have no appetite at all. I m sorry I thought this service was without fee.
I would explain that your symptoms seem to be related to high blood pressure values.
For this reason, as all your tests have resulted normal, I would recommend starting anti-hypertensive therapy. In this regard, I would recommend starting a calcium channel blocker (amlodipine, lercanidipine) or an ARB (valsartan, telmisartan, etc).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
