Down syndrome is genital problem , we can t avoid it but we can diagnose it early by scan and some blood test.
You can go for IVF ( in vitro fertilization) treatment with PGS ( preimplantation Genetic Screening) in which from embryos they take some cells and examined for chromosomal abnormalities.
Which embryo is normal they transfer.
So can diagnose any anomaly including down syndrome before pregnancy.
