Suggest Treatment For Hiatus Hernia

I am a 30 yr old male. Suffering from Hiatus hernia but haven t been able to afford endoscopy. Diagnosed 2 years ago, but recently the pains have been getting worse. I have had chest pain & pain in my left arm, leaving a tingling, sharp pain that will turn into numbness. Every time I tell my Gastroenterologist he just tells me its normal, but I m starting to worry. I have been percribed pantoprazole & famotidine. It has affected my job as well as my life. Leaving me constantly exhausted on the couch since Im only slightly comfortable when sitting upright. What should i do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of pain in chest , pain in left arm which transforms into tingling. If you not yes done upper GI endoscopy as you can not afford it, it is difficult to say the cause.
I would advise you the following:
Upper GI endoscopy.
X-ray of the cervical spine to rule out cervical spondilitis as being cause of your symptoms.
EKG and cardiac check up.
Clinical evaluation and further management as per the findings.
I find this answer helpful
