Suggest Treatment For Gangrene On Fingers

Dear Doctors,
I live in The Netherlands. A friend of mine has gangrene fingers and the doctors do not know what it is so they are not sure how to stop it spreading before they amputate his fingers. I am trying to find a gangrene specialist. Preferably in Europe but otherwise anywhere as my friend is willing to travel to see a doctor they has more expertise knowledge. I have not been able to find any specialised doctors through Google. I am approaching you to ask if you can recommend a doctor/specialist/surgeon.
Kind regards,
Sarah
