Suggest Treatment For Frequent Nasal Congestion In A Child

Good morning, my daughter is 9 years old, she has always suffer of a lot of nose congestion, she has a lot of mucus at all times, i have taken her up to many doctors and all they do is give her antibiotics in excess, the mucus stops for a while but comes back, her teeth have some stains due to the antibiotics the dentist says. I had the same problem when I was little, at the age of 21 I had a tonzelectomy and my problems almost disappear, I also try to keep her away from milk products, I am desperate do not know what else to do. Thanks

Hi,

I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but please stop giving antibiotics as the symptoms are probably due to allergy. give her a mast cell stabilizer as Singulair.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
