Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good Morning. Iam 68 rrs old having been diagnosed as Parkison case..I am on Rasalect taba 1 bd and Amantidine caps 1 bd. I also take Procyclidine tabs 1 bd. I have been on it for the last 12 mnths with Reviews from Dr.Suri Apollo Delhi. I still have the freezing where if iam standing still am unable to lift my feet as if am stuck to the floor. Is there any medication to get over that. hanks
I am so sorry to hear about this freezing. Unfortunately, drugs for parkinson's disease slowly become less effective over time. There is really no new drug that I will recommend at this time. However, I will suggest that you learn now to move yourself to safety when you experience freezing so as to avoid falls and its associated injuries. You may want to work with a geriatrician/physical therapist on this.
I hope this helps. I wish you well.
