Suggest Treatment For Fibula And Tibula Fracture

My son is having pain in his chest 6 months after a bad car wreck. His fibula and tibulas both broke and a rod was put in the main bone. No pain in the chest until a months ago. What type of doctor should we see? He has an appointment with the orthopedic doctor tomorrow as a check up.

Hello,

Sad to hear your son had met an accident and have an implant now. The chest pain has to do nothing with this surgical procedure.

Meeting up an orthopedist for the checkup of the implant will be good. Also, a chest X-ray will be advised if any skeletal injury is to be ruled out.

But as per now, the chest pain is not connected to the surgical procedure.

Also, if your son is having a recurring cold and cough then it might be because of that.

Please meet up a pulmonologist is any connection with cold or cough.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
