General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

She is menopausal with a history of depression and hypothyroidism as well as osteoarthritis and all together these are causing the symptoms you've mentioned. The parameters you mentioned are normal. I hope she is taking treatment for all these conditions if not then I would suggest you take her to the consultants of this specialities-for depression and anxiety psychiatry, for hypothyroidism and osteoarthritis rheumatologist.

There might be a need for dose adjustment in the medicines she is taking as the symptoms are not relieved with the ones she is taking or some other diagnostic tests to see the progression of osteoarthritis and hypothyroidism. Consult these doctors and follow their advice for further management.

She needs to reduce weight as its more than considered normal for her height. Osteoarthritis worsens when there is increase in weight of the person which leads to pain and swelling in knee joints.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
