Suggest Treatment For Erotomania

My sister-in-law just lost her mother and is displaying symptoms of erotomania. This is not new for her but when she suffers a loss it seems to surface. I suspect she has had episodes that the family is not aware of. She lives alone and is to the point that she is becoming a recluse. We as a family are wondering what measures we can take to get her the appropriate treatment. She, of course, is in denial. She would not be very receptive for us to convince her that she needs help. Thank You, Mary

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

Delusion of erotomania is a psychotic disorder and in that case, she needs antipsychotic agent. You should get her evaluated from a psychiatrist and in case, she needs treatment, give her proper treatment. With medicine, she would improve. In such kind of cases, improvement takes time, so be patient. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
