There are five hypoechoic masses in the uterus compatible with fibroids. The largest in the anterior wall of the body measures 4.2x4.2x4.1 cm. The rest of the fibroids are between 0.7 and 2.5 cm in largest diameter. The left ovary appears normal. There is a hypoechoic nodule present in the right adnexa. This measures 4.0x3.8x3.8 cm and is predominantly cystic mass. It could be arising from the right ovary. There is no free fluid in the pouch of Douglas. What should be the best treatment for the above problems? My wife s elder sister had similar problems in the uterus few years ago, and she gone through a surgery to remove the whole uterus. Shall my wife go through the same operation?
