Suggest Treatment For Elevated Liver Enzymes

my wife took a blood test on Friday and was told to go to the hospital to get an ultra sound due to her blood test reviewed show abnormal level of enzymes in her liver. today she called her doctor and they told her that her liver was abnormal. she is asking me questions that I can not answer, her mother died last year from Ascites. my question is when they told her her liver was abnormal what are they really saying

1. Liver test called as LFT (Liver function tests) do not point to a specific disese but indicate the underlying pathological process which can range from
. jaundice (raised bilirubin),
. Hepatitis(raised bilirubin and SGPT level),
. Cirrhosis of liver(low albumin and high globulin level),
. biliary obstruction (raised alkaline phosphatase), so you should consult a Hepatologist to know further about the disease process and progress (if any)
