Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain

I went into the ER this morning because of ear pain and he found several blisters on my eardrum...He told me antibiotics wouldn t touch it and instead gave me ear drops that was supposed to help numb the area, which hasn t helped at all. He told me to take Ibuprofen for the pain, along with the ear drops and Mucinex D. When I called him back to ask for pain medication because of the Ibuprofen not even touching the pain, he declined and told me to put heat packs on it. Wouldn t that make the blisters worse?? Thank you for any and all of your help!!

Hello,

It may be due to several causes.

You may require detailed evaluation and clinical examination by ENT specialist.

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

You may require detailed evaluation to rule out any other possibilities for ear wax, ear infection.

You may require antibiotics after consultation.
