Suggest Treatment For Ear Clogging And Pain

My son age 17 living away at college has had ear pain and clogging for the past week. He has been using homeopathic ear drops from cvs this week to alleviate pain. This morning he used a qtip gently, the ear popped and there was a small amount of blood on the qtip. I think he should see a Dr and he says, "mom don't worry." What do you suggest? Thanks, Anne

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your son looking to the history given here I could say that the ear must have been impacted with wax and the possibility of this need to be ruled out and for this he needs to be seen clinically, in my opinion better to see the ENT surgeon and no other drop would work here, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
