As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from BURNING MOUTH SYNDROME which is characterized by burning of mucous membranes of mouth involving tongue,inner lips and cheeks,gums and roof of mouth etc.. Burning mouth syndrome commonly occurs due to dryness of mouth and the dryness of mouth can occur as a result of salivary gland disorders,nerve damage that is supplying the salivary glands,side effects of certain medications, autoimmune diseases like Sjogrens syndrome,oral infections like thrush.. The peeling of the mucous membranes can occur due to dryness and atrophy of mucous membranes causing inflammation and peeling as a result of it.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Pathologist and get evaluated for the exact cause of the illness and get treated accordingly.. For dryness of mouth Saliva substitutes containing methylcellulose can be instilled in mouth for lubrication.. Saliva stimulants like Sour candies and sugarfree chewing gums can help in stimulating saliva flow... Pilocarpine is a parasympathomimetic alkaloid drug and is used to treat dry mouth by stimulating saliva flow.. Drink plenty of cold water to relieve pain and inflammation and dryness of mouth..
