Suggest Treatment For Dry Wheezing Cough With Shortness Of Breath

hi, i am a 34-year-old female with complaints of cough for more than 3 weeks, which is non productive dry wheezing cough. i was seen by my doctor who prescribed me amoxicillin for a week. didnt get well, went again and was given doxycycline and referred for a chest x ray which shows no pneumonia or TB. my doctor says its chest infection but most of my colleague and my husband think it could be TB. im confused what to do. i am still taking doxycycline as i havent finished the course yet. been off work for a week, and yesterday was given an inhaler because i am short of breath all the time. please recommend, should i be concerned or my friends and family are overly concerned. thnx. ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, TB will have other symptoms like evening rise of temperature, weight loss etc, but it is said that any cough which persists for more than 3weeks TB should be suspected, so I recommend you to finish your antibiotic course and get a sputum test done, to rule out TB.
