Suggest Treatment For Dry And Flaky Skin On The Head

i have discoloration (lightwhite) near my hairline which is just appearing now. Used to be small circles on my calf but they went away after a few months last year. It first appeared on my neck but It went away. Now its all on my head but is covered by my hair. only slightly visible. It doesn t itch, sting or hurt, and it is dry and flaky

Hello,

You have dry circles on your head, first it appeared on your calf, then on the neck and its all on your head. It is dry and flaky and uncomfortable. Your symptoms are indicative of ring worms on skin (body), it is fungal infection. Take care of your hygiene, take bath regularly. wash your hair with Selsun shampoo, medicated shampoo or antifungal shampoo. Clean your scalp properly.

Change your clothes and wash them frequently in hot water. Wear soft cotton clothes. After bath apply ointment clotrimazole on the area affected and also on your hair line or areas affected. You can take a course of antifungal medicines orally. Avoid sitting or standing under direct sunlight. Avoid using products that irritate the scalp like hair dyes or hair accessories. Stay well hydrated, take adequate quantity of water and fluids. It should get well in 10-15 days, if not get clinically examined by a dermatologist.
