Suggest Treatment For Dime-sized Lump On Right Side Of Neck

Yes Hi, my Dad has a hard, dime-sized lump on the right side of his neck and he say's it's sore, can you please help us to figure out what it is? Thanks.

Also I don't have any money to purchase any of these to pay for, if you can't answer because I didn't pay, it's ok.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a dime size lump over the neck can be an inflamed and swollen lymph node that can be due to infection in head and neck region, it can also be an abscess or a hair follicle infection ( Folliculitis) or can be an infected cyst..

I would suggest you to consult a General Physician and get a clinical evaluation done and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations if needed like Biopsy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

You can be advised to take antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkiller, and do cool compresses over the lump..
In case of abscess Incision and Drainage might be advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
