Suggest Treatment For Depression And Slurred Speech

My husband has occasional spells where he is overly sensitive to light and gets an overwhelming feeling of depression and slurred speech. It just comes over him suddenly. He is 67 and diabetic. He leaves work and says he can hardly see to drive - that the light is so bright and white.
