Suggest Treatment For Constant Burning And Pain In Uterus. Possible UTI

Hi, I went to the doctor initially on the 27th March with what I thought might be a urinary tract infection or thrush, the doc took a urine sample for analysis & prescribed me antibiotics & a cream to cover both while waiting for the results. I went back to the doctor on the 5th March after no improvement, I have almost constant discomfort & burning which even keeps me awake at night. I went back to the doctor again on the 10th March as I still had no improvement...what do I do now when I have seen no improvement in my pain & discomfort?!

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You were tested for UTI by urine examination....

It might showed pus cells so you are given antibiotic ....

Now here you are not improving so it can be complicated UTI or there might be antibiotic resistant UTI. ..
Your urine culture has to be done for that. ...

Meanwhile cystitis if suspected ruled out by cystoscopy and biopsy if needed. ...

If you are having flank pain and fever also than pyelonephritis like condition should be ruled out ...
USG and renal imaging done for that ....

Meanwhile continue drinking more water and fruit juice. ...
Follow up urine routine also done ...

Consult nephrologists for this ..
