I have had two lamenectomys on l- 4 - S -5 .There is no remaking disc at that level. I now have another herniated disc at the l-4 level, which involves a pinched nerve causing pain down the leg. One neurosurgeon recommends another lamenectomy another neurosurgeon disagrees and offered axialif spinal surgery. Can you discuss the pros and cons of each. I am unable to tolerate any type of pain medication for various reasons. I have tried physical therapy and epidural steroid injections without success. I understand that there is some new form of physical therapy for lack of a better word to use. I understand that this therapy was developed by a physician,who like myself, has cerebral palsy and disc problems. Supposedly, this I doctor avoided surgery as a result of this therapy. I also understand that a grant for this treatment must be procured. Do you know anything about this doctor or this treatment.? Can you furnish the details so that I can obtain a grant and begin treatment? I have been in constant pain for the last five years leaving me unable to do anything.
