Hello there,
What you are describing is a symptom due to nerve damage. Most likely in your case it is due to diabetes. Could also be due to B12 deficiency. The medicine you are on is replenishing your B12 levels however I would like you to take B12 in the dose of 1500 mcg if you are vegetarian as B12 sources in plant food is none. Also if your burning is troubling you too much you can take a medicine called Pregebalin in the dose of 75mg in the night. However a thorough evaluation by a Diabetologist is needed to make sure that there is no other reason for your symptoms. Do discuss with your physician about the medicines and doses I mentioned to you. Till then check your feet every night before going to bed. Use a mirror if needed. Keep your feet dry especially in between the toes. Avoid cracks and use moisturiser around the heels and soles. Use MCR/MCP shoes with backstrap. Avoid walking barefoot even at home. Use good walking shoes when going for a walk if you do.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
