Suggest Treatment For Bumps On The Vagina

Hi, I recently discovered ingrown hair like bumps on my vagina, then I noticed flakiness all over it, it then progressed to finding a scab next to my nipple, and there was just raised reddened skin under the scab. The razor burn like bumps have spread around my butt cheeks as well. I have recently quit meth, and my boyfriend and I did have prolonged, rough sex, which can cause chaffing. I have no idea what s going on and am waiting on my health insurance to kick in. Someone please help

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is possible that the flakiness is due to yeast or other fungal infection, this can be treated with a topical antifungal cream, like miconazole, econazole, ketoconazole. In grown hair can occur in any area of the body where there is hair, it can sometimes cause an infection to occur. A warm compress to the area 2 to 3 times a day, along with a topical antibiotic (neosporin, fucindin, bactroban) would help with this. The topical antibiotic can also be used in the nipple area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
