Bronchitis (inflammation of airways) is common after pneumonia. Treatment of bronchitis should be done according to severity of the disease. So get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test). PFT will tell you about severity of the disease. Yoi may need longer acting inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone). N acetyl cystine (NAC) is also beneficial in bronchitis. Azithromycin can be tried for 5 days. But it s long term effects are not positive. Hope I have solved your query.
