Suggest Treatment For Blood Clots In The Legs And Shoulder
I am in a dilemma and needed some guidance. Long story short, I had a total hysterectomy done on Aug 26 kept my ovaries, removed uterus and cervix. On Sept 4 a blood clot in my leg and shoulder were found and I was put on Xarelto. Two days later I have super heavy bleeding with major clotting. My OBGYN told me to stop taking the Xarelto and my internal med doc told me to not stop. How to I handle this when I am being told 2 different things?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you have got deep vein thrombosis. For which your doctor started Xarelto. Due to this you got heavy bleeding with clots and your gynecologist advised you to stop this drug. In my opinion you should stop Xarelto or start it under control of bleeding time and clotting time investigations with consultation with OBGYN . You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
