Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Mucoid Discharge From Anus
i have had pains on and off now for around 6 weeks all over my abdomen . mainly on the left side between my ribs and hip .the pain varies from a pinchy stinging pain to a bruised feeling .it feels worse whenever i need to open my bowels ,eat or need to pass wind .sometimes it feels like its a pulled muscle but sometimes feels like it's right inside .my doctor (without testing me )said i have diverticulitis disease and gave me antibiotics which didn't do much ,then i went back he said it sounds like i have fibromyalgia with ibs .now 2 weeks later im still in pain but now have a thick fishy smelling mucus when opening my bowels which can sometimes be itchy .im 25 and female .
As per the clinical experience of mine, this sounds to be intestine infection with or without inflammatory bowel disease.
As primary antibiotics are not effective and pain is there; I would prefer to evaluate the case with basic lab tests and colonoscopy , ultrasound examination rather than delaying time in random medicines.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
