Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Fever

For the last 6 hours, I have been experiencing extreme abdominal pain. This is the worst pain I have ever felt and I have three children. I thought it was just gas, but over the counter meds have provided minimal, temporary relief. I have some relief with bowel movements, but it lasts only 30 minutes or so. I have a fever of 101, and I never run fevers. I am out if town, so I cannot see my PCP. What should I do?

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of extreme abdominal pain, thought of gas and took OTC medicines with temporary relief, some more relief with bowel movements, now have fever and going on for 6 hours. You are out of the town so can not see the PCP.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Since you are out of town and have tried OTC, please see the Doctor in ER to get a clinical evaluation, examination and investigations.
You will get an appropriate treatment with proper antibiotics and supportive medicines and most important is to get a proper diagnosis as it alone helps to have proper treatment.
