Suggest Treatment For A Large Bump On The Buttocks

Ive had a large pimple like spot on the right inside butt cheek for about 1 month. Today it was hurting so I grabbed a mirror to look at it. Anyway I touched it and blood went everywhere. Im keeping it clean with witch hazel. But I am wondering what it is? It hurts to sit and walk. But didn t hurt when it popped.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of large bump on the buttocks. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like boils,folliculitis, viral infection or fungal infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you keep this area clean and dry, apply warm compresses, apply over the counter antibiotics cream and wear loose cloths. Avoid touching or pricking these areas. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. doctor may order allergy test, skin patch test and blood test. Doctor may prescribe antifungal like fluconazole or antiviral like acyclovir depending upon the diagnosis.
