Suggest Treatment For A Herniated Disc In The Lower Back

I think I ve slipped a disc in my lower back. I have gotten some mobility back but the base pain has gotten worse since the incident on Monday. It feels like a soft throbbing as well as aching that is very intense. I felt a lot better on Tuesday but now I m feeling more pain where even lying down doesn t keep much if any pain at bay. Is it a disc problem? It feels centered on my spinal area.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Prolapsed intervertebral disc (slipped disc) can be recurrent.
Your current symptoms are more in favor of slipped disc. And you are having history of slipped disc.
So possibility of slipped disc is more for your current symptoms.
So better to consult orthopedic doctor and get done clinical examination of spine and MRI of spine for the diagnosis of slipped disc.
In milder form, this will need physiotherapy, avoidance of heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise and painkiller drugs.
For moderate to severe disc problems, surgical intervention is needed.
So consult orthopedic doctor and discuss all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
