Suggest Treatment For COPD

I am a 53 year old male a little overweight and have COPD and is disabled. My BP use to stay around 115/75. The last 2 days it has been going from 113/63 to 159/92 at rest. I have had a few cardio work ups and they are telling me that they don't see anything that is wrong. Could they be missing something ?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
COPD is chronic obstructive Pulmonary disease. It is chronic, progressive inflammatory disease of airways. Treatment steps are as follows.
1. Inhaled bronchodilators and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS).
2. Chest physiotherapy and deep breathing exercises.
3. Smoking cessation if you are smoker.
4. Adult Pulmonary vaccination with pneumococcal and Influenza vaccines.
Along with exercise above mentioned other things are also needed for complete symptomatic relief.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these and start appropriate treatment.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
