Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir,
The answer is simple. Your diabetes is under control with diet, exercise and weight loss. Your current weight is very good as per your height. My sincere advice is to continue checking blood sugars , keep up the diet and exercise regimen. Currently if you are able to manage Hba1c less than 6.5 you would not need medicines. Any time you have a query get back to HCM to get a standard opinion. Currently you are doing well and do not worry about weight loss. People taking metformin tend to lose a few kgs which is good.
Hope I have answered your query
