Suggest Solution For Knee Problem
My sister was told today that a surgery where the surgeon would break her tibia might help with the type of knee problems she is having. She has less than 50% cartilage and a cyst behind one kneecap. But she would ask any more questions. I myself just had a total knee replacement. Can you expain this surgery a bit more and its possible benefits and recovery time?

Hi,
This is osteotomy, although results are variable, for some people it works good but for some it doesn't. We apply a plate after cutting the bone in it. Recovery time is approx 2 months.
