My son has petichiae on both his thighs after swimming. Last time I took him to pediatrician, he just diagnosed it and didn t give us meds. He never had petichiae in the past, just started last year. Will take him to the dermatologist tomorrow. Is this treatable? Why is this happening?
Hi. As per your case history of petechie, my treatment advice is - 1. Take good nutritious diet full of green leafy vegetables and milk. 2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice. 3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months. 4. If problem persists then you need to get investigations like bleeding time, clotting time and prothrombin time get done.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
