Suggest Remedy For Persistent Sore Throat With Runny Nose
Hi, for the past few days aka (Friday or Saturday night) my allergies have been bothering me or so i think. My symptoms are sore throat that comes and goes, runny stuffy nose, and slight coughing . No fever
Is this allergies or a cold, and should I sing because I have a performance In 2 days
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you have upper respiratory tract infection also known as Common Cold.. It does not seems like allergic reaction but rather a Viral infection.. I would suggest you to start taking antibiotics like Cephalexin to avoid or treat bacterial infection.. Take decongestant Oral like Pseudoephadrine (Sudafed) and nasal drops containing Xylometazoline.. For sore throat you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Advil.. You can do warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room.. Avoid spicy and chilled foods.. Sip on plenty of warm water.. Talk slowly and limit up singing so that the throat does not get further exerted..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
