My husband had a nose bleed and doctor cauterized his nostril. He has pain when he breathes out of that side. This has been happening for six months (since the cauterization). He even saw a second doctor and there was no recommendation. Perhaps the first doctor botched the job. He has tried various over-the-counter remedies and even medical marijuana. Nothing has worked. What should he do?
Post cauterization pain usually wear off with in a week. But continuous pain since long time means it may allergic or polypoidal or neuralgia with pain or it may trigeminal neuralgia or local ulcers or anxiety. Use tablet pregabalin 75 mg once a day for five days. Use tablet levocetrizine twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine by endoscopy and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
