Suggest Remedy For Lower Leg Pain And Dizziness Post Insect Bite

Hello....my 12 year old son was bit/stung by an unknown animal while asleep outside in the forest at a church camp. He now has a red spot on the inside of his right knee that also has white bumps with it. His lower right leg is painful (6/10) when standing. His lower right leg also is tingling and pain shooting into his upper right leg as well. He was light headed when he first got up after the bite. I am a FF/EMT at the camp right now. What is your idea of a diagnosis? Treatment ideas? Does he need immediate transport to an Emergency Room?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I understand your concern.
First of all we all need to know whether this is insect bite or animal bite. What I suppose is that this is some insect or bee or any rodent like rat or squirrel.
You should take him to the hospital to get his wound examined. Meanwhile apply betadiene ointment on the bite area. Wash the area with plenty of water. Give him pain killer like aceclofenac+paracetamol combination (twice daily) for twice daily. Check his tetanus immunization status.
Hope this will help you.
